OG312

We are now offering the chance to experience the OG and best 312 km lap of Mallorca, fully supported by a team vehicle.  The team vehicle will carry spares, your spare clothing, food and nurition and hydration. This is not the expensive and contrived sportive route offered every April, where you will have to contend with busy feed stations, race to make cutoff times, and battle 8000+ other riders on crowded roads. This is a chance to ride the truly iconic loop, with a small group of like minded riders.  You will set off early, climb through the Tramuntana mountains experiencing sunrise there, then proceed through Palma City, seeing the Cathedral to your left and the Mediterranean to your right.  You will then proceed around the coastal roads, via Porto Cristo, riding the rolling roads via Arta, before returning back to Alcudia.

On 9th October 2025, we ran this event for the first time from our base at the Zafiro Tropic Hotel.  A group of ten very capable and ambitious riders set out at 06:30 and headed around the Pollenca bay to begin the lap.  The team were amazing, choosing to complete the lap together, rather than pursuing individual goals.  They were supported ably by two team members in a vehicle with food, drink, spare clothes, and spares.  All those that started the quest finished, the only tyre problem was on the car, and the team arrived back at the hotel, to a heroes welcome, at just after 20:00.

Watch this space for when we are running this again in 2026.  If you think you are up to the challenge, and want to take part, please contact us using the contact form here

Not long back from spending two weeks in Majorca with Total Velo Cycling Holidays

What a fantastic couple of weeks! The weather wasn’t perfect, but we made the best of it — plenty of miles and maybe a few too many beers

The highlight was riding the OG312 route — 312 km (194 miles) in a single day. What an amazing experience! I couldn’t have asked for a better group; we worked really well together all the way round.

A huge thank-you to Steve Pennock and Est Pennock for supporting us throughout the day, keeping us fed and hydrated, and to Total Velo for organising everything so well

Already looking forward to the next one!

[Jordan G - Haverhill Suffolk]

Well that was a quality week, I had plenty of miles, some smiles, a little drizzle, and super-strong  like minded riders found!  Cheers to all, for the effort taken for the 312, from the organising, and riders.  Really enjoyed it with everyone, and couldn't have put together a better group for it really. Same again next year then?

[Nick K - Essex]

Thank you for a great time all.  Brilliant as always.  Special thanks to Andrew Wild, Est Pennock, and Steve Pennock for the planning and support on the 312 and of course Antony Stapleton and Dawn Riley, for making it all happen.  See you in the spring.
